I went home that night and started looking up how to get my license.

I grew up in this city. I watched it change. I watched neighborhoods like San Marco get quieter and then louder again. I watched Brooklyn go from overlooked to one of the most talked-about spots in town. I watched Riverside do what Riverside has always done. Hold its character even as everything around it shifted.
Jacksonville FL has this thing about it. It doesn’t try to be Miami. It doesn’t pretend to be Savannah. It’s just itself. A sprawling, waterfront, deeply Southern city with pockets of creativity and community tucked into every corner. I fell in love with it long before I ever thought about selling homes here.
When I did get my license, it felt like the most natural thing in the world. I wasn’t starting fresh. I was finally finding the job that matched what I already knew.
People Were Always the Point
Real estate is not actually about houses. I know that sounds strange coming from someone whose job involves a lot of houses. But every transaction Stephanie Thompson has ever been a part of started with a person and a feeling.
